Bent Receiver
The receiver was bent to all hell. This should be at a 90 degree angle but is now at about 45. The ball itself was also damaged. I stupidly ran my finger over it and got cut on a rather sharp and thin metal sliver. I suppose this is why the area just under the bar isn't as thick as the rest of the receiver -- so it can have some give in instances like this. We were told that "everything did what it was supposed to do", and therefore a minimal amount of damage was done to both the trailer and the car.
